Textile & Surface Design Consultant - Visiting Lecturer

Hello friend,

With over 20 years experience designing for brands in fashion and interiors, my love for Design continues.

The Glasgow School of Art Printed Textiles BA course, ignited my love for colour, drawing, pattern and textiles. After a year in industry and TexPrint, I continued my training on the MA Printed Textiles course at The Royal College of Art.

In London I was able to work with with many successful fashion brands creating best selling ranges. Leading Design teams, global travel searching for vintage fashion, new trends and sharing my love for textiles was a career highlight.

A move back to Scotland allowed me to pursue a new textile avenue for interior textiles and CMF, surface design new product development for home, kitchen and interiors. Working with heritage brands Sekers & Wemyss Fabrics has been wonderful for broadening my expertise in weave, upholstery, drapery and the world of interiors.

As Design Manager for Sekers Fabrics & Wemyss Fabrics, Surface & Product Designer at Premier Housewares and Head of Design at JRC London. Clients include Liberty, Marks and Spencers, Rockett St George, Urban Outfitters, ASOS, and Raft.

After 20+ years in the design industry, with a deep love of print & pattern. I am now working on my own wee studio, currently set up in my house in the kids toy room/design office, just outside of Glasgow.

I am here to help elevate your textile and surface projects with custom design work specifically bespoke to your brand.

As as Visiting Lecturer at West College ScotIand and previously Edinbrugh College of Art, London College of Communication and Swansea School of Art. I can cover multidisciplinary Design areas from textiles, interiors, photography, visual commincation and social media.
